At Newcastle Noir we’re always on the lookout for authors who are doing something new with this most beloved of genres. So imagine our joy when we came across Matt Wesolowski’s writing and so close to home.

Faultless Tartan Noir

It just wouldn’t be the same without those Scottish crime writers who bring a certain something to the festival. In Doug Johnstone we must be welcoming one of the most multitalented authors to be found North o’ the Border.

We’re thrilled to say that not only will he be appearing on the Hot off the Press panel, but he’ll also be playing with the Fun Loving Crime Writers at gig that will close Newcastle Noir.

Newcastle and Norway have had close ties for centuries and at Newcastle Noir we celebrate that bond through the Norwegian Noir panel. One of the authors appearing on that panel is Kjell Ola Dahl.
