Books on Tyne 2015

The Lit & Phil continues to enjoy crime throughout the year and we’re pleased to say that we’ve enticed fabulous crime writers to our annual Book Festival, run in conjunction with Newcastle Libraries.

Wednesday 25th November sees Sophie Hannah return to the Lit & Phil. She'll be reading from her latest crime novel A Game for All the Family. She is an internationally bestselling writer of psychological crime fiction and in 2014 she published The Monogram Murders, starring Hercule Poirot, with permission from the Agatha Christie Estate.

On Saturday 28th November we have 2 sessions from kids’ crime writer, Robin Stevens, as part of our family day at the library. Robin is the author of the Murder Most Unladylike Mysteries, starring the intrepid duo of schoolgirl detectives, Wells and Wong.

In the evening we have some grown-up crime with James Oswald, recently described as “crime fiction’s next big thing!” Come and hear him talk about and read from his Detective Inspector McLean series.

Find out more details of these and other events taking place as part of the Festival  by logging on to www.booksontyne.co.uk. Hope to see you there!
